Behind the Scenes of Belt Production: A Special Item Tailored to Match Your Scissor Case

A glimpse into our production process.

We are currently producing the belts that come as a set with our BLINK SCISSORS CASE scissor cases.

Previously, these were sold separately, but
as many customers wished to purchase them together, they are now sold as a set.

At BLINK SCISSORS CASE,
when making belts, we use the part of the cowhide that is closest to the back, which has the least stretch and is the strongest.

After carefully checking the leather parts to be used for the belt for scratches or cracks,
we cut them to the required width.

Due to the fiber structure of leather, it is elastic, so
cutting it straight is actually a very difficult task.
Nevertheless, we finished the cutting carefully and diligently.

The parts cut to belt width are then
individually checked for minimal stretch and adequate strength,
and finally finished as scissor case belts.

Soft, stretchy parts like those seen on the left side of the photo are not strong enough
and are unfortunately discarded rather than used in the product.

Next, we will move on to the edge finishing process, known as "koba,"
and we will introduce that process another time.
