BLINK SCISSORS CASE is a leather workshop specializing in scissor cases, founded by hairstylists Takashi Tanaka and Asuka Inoue.
From design and production to sales, everything is handled in-house. Our workshop includes both a leather studio and a working salon.
We use each design in real salon work, evaluate it and refine it. This continuous process keeps our craftsmanship evolving.
It began with a concern we felt as working hairstylists.
As hairstylists, we could not find a scissor case we genuinely wanted to use.
Many products were designed without a true understanding of salon work. That realization was where everything began.
So we decided to create something we could truly love. That conviction continues to guide BLINK.
More than storage—it supports your work.
We see a scissor case not simply as storage, but as a professional tool that supports every day in the salon.
Because it is worn throughout the day, it should feel effortless and intuitive.
Every BLINK design is therefore developed from real salon experience.

The rear leather rest works like a cushion, improving stability while reducing strain during wear.

When worn, it can be replaced with a separately available attachment.

We can address wear from use, including damaged stitching or hardware.
Repairs are available regardless of how long you have owned your case.

BLINK products are all handcrafted one by one in our own atelier.
We inspect the leather, cut it and shape it by hand.
Because every step directly affects quality,
we take responsibility for each process
and approach it with care.
In 2017, we added a salon space inside our workshop.
We use and test our products in real salon work, continuing to refine them over time.
We are both makers and users.
That dual perspective is at the heart of

BLINK was founded by two working hairstylists.
We pursue solutions to the challenges we experienced in real salon work, creating tools we genuinely want to use.
Those experiences and continuous improvements have shaped today's BLINK SCISSORS CASE craftsmanship.
Our atelier is located in the hills of Otsu, Shiga.
Visits are available by appointment only.
