Report on Ginza Exhibit | TEIBAN Exhibition and BLINK's Initiatives
About the Exhibition at Matsuya Ginza and the TEIBAN Exhibition
This time, BLINK SCISSORS CASE will be exhibiting scissor cases at Matsuya Ginza as part of an initiative called the "TEIBAN Exhibition."
What is the TEIBAN Exhibition?
This project is an initiative in which the three prefectures of Shiga, Nara, and Mie collaborate to conceive and promote standard products rooted in each region.
Aimed at transcending the boundaries between creators and users to foster learning and dialogue, this project is not just about selling goods, but also an opportunity to re-examine the "essence of craftsmanship."
In Nara Prefecture, this initiative has already been recognized, and a permanent exhibition has been set up at Matsuya Ginza 7F as NARA TEIBAN.
This exhibition at Matsuya Ginza is a practical application within this trend, and for us participating businesses, it is vitally important to have many people learn about the "TEIBAN Exhibition" initiative itself.
What the TEIBAN Exhibition Aims For
Valuing "universality" over "novelty,"
Craftsmanship that aims for long-selling products that both users and creators can cherish.
Proposing a simple yet rich lifestyle.
Seven businesses within Shiga Prefecture that align with these values are participating, and BLINK has been selected as one of them to exhibit.
Between Craftsmanship and Branding
I myself used to question the idea of "just making and selling," which led me to participate in this project.
Creators tend to focus solely on the product itself. However, that alone leads to one-way communication.
What's truly important, I feel, is the stance of clarifying the concept and sharing it with users to jointly nurture the brand.
I believe the TEIBAN Exhibition is a "place for learning and dialogue" where each business refines its own concept, and a practical setting to acquire branding skills that are not self-serving.
The Exhibition at Matsuya Ginza is a Culmination
In this project, we have held various regional exhibitions and exchanges.
The exhibition at Matsuya Ginza can be called its culmination, and it marks a significant milestone for us.
Products are communication tools that connect creators and users.
We continue to make scissor cases with the awareness that buying is not the goal, but that relationships begin from there.
We want to improve the perfection of our products and deliver items that can be loved for a long time, thereby building trust with our customers.
That is BLINK's stance.
Looking Forward to Reconnecting with Everyone in Kanto
In recent years, thankfully, orders have increased, reducing our opportunities to visit Kanto.
Therefore, I sincerely look forward to meeting everyone in the Kanto region directly at this exhibition.
