美容師がつくるから伝えられる、シザーケースの「本当の価値」

Because hairstylists create them, we can convey the "true value" of scissor cases.

Why I Make Scissor Cases

Lately, I've had more opportunities to meet hairdressers directly and receive custom orders for scissor cases.
Through these interactions, I feel like I've been given the chance to re-examine "why I make scissor cases" myself.

What criteria do you use when choosing a scissor case?

  • Is it the design?
  • Is it ease of use?
  • Is it durability?
  • Is it the price?
  • Is it because someone recommended it?

I'm sure there are also some people who think "anything that works is fine."

Who makes that scissor case?

・A staff member at a bag manufacturer?
・A craftsman at a leather workshop?
・A handmade artisan?
・A craftsman specializing in scissor cases?

But the most important thing is... "Is it designed by someone with hairdressing experience?"

Take a comb, for example.
Imagine a comb made by someone who has never cut hair, versus one made by someone who cuts hair every day. You can imagine which one would be easier to use, right?
Scissor cases are no different.

It's a tool you use every day, so choose wisely.
Before you choose, please consider who made it.

What are the strengths of BLINK SCISSORS CASE?

We are scissor case craftsmen, and also active hairdressers.
I myself still work 4-6 days a month at a hair salon in Kyoto, serving about 80 clients a month.

I test the comfort of prototypes on site, and if necessary, I make immediate adjustments in the workshop.
It's this routine that I believe allows our products to be updated daily.

Because I have experience as a hairdresser

I want to deliver something that I am truly satisfied with.
I want to feel the usability firsthand and give shape to those "slight discomforts" that are hard to put into words, without overlooking them.
I believe that's what only BLINK SCISSORS CASE can do.

We may still have some shortcomings, but we are committed to honest craftsmanship.
With genuine feelings, we deliver the "best we can do right now."

And I made one for myself, too.

After making so many scissor cases for others, I wanted one for myself...
I ordered a -macan-.

I will carefully nurture it as my own work tool from now on.
