Today, August 8th, marks the launch of BLINK SCISSORS CASE.
"I want to launch my own brand!"
BLINK SCISSORS CASE, which began with such a vague goal, has now been around for six years, and today marks the start of its seventh year, thanks to your support.
When the brand first started, the very first items we produced were bracelets and studded belts.
At that time, we didn't even have the manufacturing technology for scissor cases, which have now become an iconic item for BLINK.
Since then, with the support of many people, BLINK SCISSORS CASE is what it is today.
Starting from a single room in an apartment building
Six years ago today, I was still living in Tokyo, diligently working with my hands every day in a single room in an apartment building.
It was far from what you would call "work"; it was more like days of simply bringing to life things I liked.
In that sense, it might not be so different from now, but there is one "goal" that hasn't changed since then.
I want scissor cases to be an item that better supports hairdressers.
Scissor cases are essential tools that hairdressers use every day, yet surprisingly few are designed by hairdressers themselves.
Also, I believe that for many hairdressers, it's currently difficult to determine "which scissor case is right for them."
That's why I believe I, as a former hairdresser, can offer proposals that others cannot,
and I want to deliver scissor cases designed from a hairdresser's perspective.
With this in mind, the BLINK SCISSORS CASE Scissor Case Project began.
Six years nurtured by a "custom-order focus"
From the start until now, BLINK has intentionally not produced many standard products,
and has continued to create custom-made scissor cases tailored to each individual hairdresser.
And in the seventh year, taking a new step forward
Utilizing the custom-order experience and knowledge accumulated thus far,
this year, we plan to create an "Original BLINK SCISSORS CASE Catalog."
Making it easier for hairdressers to choose and use.
We will continue to deliver information and items that will make daily salon work even a little more comfortable.
