美容師としての現場から生まれる、BLINK SCISSORS CASEのリアルな改良点

Real-world improvements to the BLINK SCISSORS CASE, born from a hairstylist's on-the-ground experience.

Real Improvements for BLINK SCISSORS CASE Born from My Experience as a Hairdresser

The BLINK SCISSORS CASE leather workshop is generally closed on Saturdays and Sundays, but on some of those days, I work at a salon as a freelance hairdresser.

At one point, I even considered quitting hairdressing to focus solely on leather product manufacturing.

However, I received grateful messages from clients I had previously worked with, asking me to "continue being their stylist."

Thanks to their support, I am now able to balance both roles successfully.

I'm happy to be needed as a hairdresser, and above all, being able to actually use BLINK's scissor cases on-site is an incredibly valuable experience.

Insights Gained from Salon Work

For example,

"It would have been better if the inner space was a little wider," or

"Perhaps the corners should be more rounded."

These are subtle "comfort improvements" that only become apparent through actual use.

Of course, during salon work, the client in front of me is the top priority.

While I'm not constantly thinking about design, sudden insights emerge in between.

Then, I return to the workshop, reflect on those insights, and make further improvements.

Now, this ideal cycle is gradually taking shape.

"Unnoticed Innovations" Make a Big Difference

A commitment to details that might seem unnoticeable at first glance.

But I believe that the accumulation of these details results in "true comfort" and "ease of use" for the user.

Just like with hair design,

"How deeply can one question and obsess over the details?"

I feel this is an essential perspective when creating professional tools.

Moving forward, as a scissor case brand that only hairdressers can create,

we will continue to pursue the ideals of BLINK SCISSORS CASE.
