BLINK's commitment to carefully selected leather and vegetable tanning
BLINK's Commitment to Leather Materials
What BLINK values most is, undoubtedly, leather materials.
I myself have experience as a store manager at a leather material specialty shop in Aichi.
Working with many types of leather naturally gave me knowledge about leather and allowed me to develop an eye for selecting materials suitable for products.
The leather currently used by BLINK is primarily leather tanned in Italy.
Since leather is a natural material, there are individual differences, and even if made through the same process, each finish will vary.
For this reason, BLINK always visits the site when purchasing, to confirm the condition in person before procuring.
Commitment to Vegetable-Tanned Leather
There are two main types of leather tanning: vegetable tanning and chrome tanning.
BLINK especially uses a lot of vegetable-tanned leather.
Vegetable-tanned leather is very expressive, and its appeal lies in its ability to enjoy aging.
As it is used, it develops more character, making it a material that offers the "joy of nurturing," and it is a type of leather I personally love very much.
About Care
Vegetable-tanned leather is often thought to be "difficult to care for," but for daily use, no special maintenance is required.
When you feel it's dry, applying a little leather moisturizing cream is sufficient.
Please Experience it with Your Own Hands
